Ways to Work

Flexible support, depending on what you need

I work with organisations, teams, consultancies and technology providers that need experienced support across processes, systems, implementation and change.

Some engagements are short and focused. Others involve embedded support, fractional capacity, facilitation or ongoing advisory work.

The shape of the work depends on the problem rather than forcing every engagement into a fixed package.

Project-based consulting

Focused support around a defined business problem, piece of work or improvement initiative.

This might include:

  • Business analysis

  • Process mapping and workflow redesign

  • Requirements gathering

  • Systems and software assessment

  • Implementation support

  • Operational improvement

  • Reporting and KPI design

  • Role and responsibility clarification

This works well where there is a clear problem to solve but no need for ongoing support.

Fractional or embedded support

Ongoing support for organisations that need experienced capacity without making a full-time hire.

I can work alongside your existing team for a set number of hours or days, helping with areas such as:

  • Process improvement

  • Business systems

  • Implementation

  • Operational problem-solving

  • Change and adoption

  • Vendor or supplier coordination

  • Facilitation and decision-making

This can suit organisations going through change, growing quickly, or simply needing experienced support for a period of time.

Associate and subcontract consulting

I work alongside consultancies, technology providers and other advisers where additional delivery capacity or specialist support is needed.

I can support areas including:

  • Client discovery

  • Business analysis

  • Requirements gathering

  • Process improvement

  • Workshop facilitation

  • Systems and implementation work

  • Change support

  • Stakeholder engagement

I’m comfortable working as part of an existing delivery team and supporting the client relationship without competing for it.

Facilitation, coaching and mentoring

Some challenges are less about choosing a system or designing a process and more about helping people think clearly, make decisions and change how they work.

As a qualified business coach, I can support:

  • Leadership and decision-making

  • Role clarity

  • Team conversations

  • Change and adoption

  • Accountability

  • Business-owner challenges

  • Coaching and mentoring

  • Workshop facilitation

Coaching can be used as a standalone piece of work or as part of a broader consulting or implementation engagement.

How I Approach the Work

Understand

I start by understanding the current situation, what is working, what is getting in the way and what needs to change.

That might involve interviews, workshops, process mapping, systems review or looking at existing data and documentation.

Improve

From there, I help clarify the most practical way forward.

That could mean redesigning a process, defining requirements, selecting a system, clarifying responsibilities or simply helping make a difficult decision clearer.

Implement

Where useful, I stay involved to help turn the agreed changes into practice.

That might involve coordinating suppliers, supporting adoption, facilitating the team, training staff or providing ongoing guidance.

Clear communication, practical thinking and straightforward outputs you can actually use.

I work comfortably across people, processes and technology, and I try to keep the realities of the organisation in view rather than overcomplicating the solution.

My style is collaborative rather than prescriptive. I bring structure, experience and an independent perspective, while helping the people involved take ownership of the change.

What you can expect

Not Sure What Kind of Support You Need?

If you have a problem, project or piece of work that sounds broadly relevant, get in touch.

We can work out whether I’m the right fit and what level of involvement makes sense.
