What we collect
Contact details: name, email, phone, company (when you book a call or contact us).
Service information: notes from sessions, proposals, and project materials.
Website usage: pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location (via privacy-friendly analytics).
Technical data: IP address, device, browser (used for security and site performance).
We don’t collect special category data and we don’t sell personal data.
Why we collect it (lawful bases under GDPR)
To respond to enquiries and provide services (Art. 6(1)(b) contract).
To operate and improve this site (Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests).
To comply with legal and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) legal obligation).
With consent where required (e.g., non-essential cookies) (Art. 6(1)(a) consent).
How we use your data
Provide proposals and services; manage bookings and communication; maintain records; improve the site; safeguard security.
Sharing
We use trusted processors for hosting, website, analytics, scheduling, and document storage (e.g., Squarespace, Google, Calendly/Zoom, privacy-friendly analytics). They process data under our instructions. We only share data if required by law, to protect rights, or with your permission.
International transfers
If data is transferred outside the EEA, we use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Enquiries: up to 12 months after last contact.
Client records and invoices: 6 years (tax/legal).
Analytics: aggregated or deleted after 14 months (or per tool default).
We delete or anonymise when no longer needed.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie)
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16.

Terms of Service

1. About
These Terms govern your use of alexmillar.ie and our services. By using the site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Services
We provide advisory, coaching, and related consulting as described on the site or in proposals.
3. Booking and engagement
Engagement begins when we confirm in writing (email or proposal acceptance). For advisory packages, scope, deliverables, and timelines are set out in the proposal.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are as quoted. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in EUR and exclusive of VAT (if applicable). Invoices are due within 14 days. Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed or late-cancelled sessions may be charged in full. Where we must reschedule, we’ll offer the next available slot.
6. Your responsibilities
Provide timely information and access needed to deliver the work. You are responsible for decisions and outcomes based on our guidance.
7. Intellectual property
Pre-existing IP remains with the original owner. Unless agreed otherwise, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use deliverables created for you for your internal business purposes. We may reuse non-confidential, generic know-how.
8. Confidentiality
We’ll keep your non-public information confidential and use it only to provide the services, except where disclosure is required by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud or where not permitted by law.
10. No guarantees
Advisory and coaching involve judgment and your implementation. We don’t guarantee specific commercial results.
11. Third-party links/tools
We may use or link to third-party tools and sites. Use is subject to their terms and privacy practices.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate on written notice if the other materially breaches and fails to remedy within 14 days, or for convenience on [14/30] days’ notice for ongoing retainers (fees prorated).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site/services means you accept the updated terms.
